Our work

Practical support across three pillars.

Each program responds to needs identified with hospital partners.

Nurse adjusting neonatal monitoring equipment

Medical Equipment & Supplies

The challenge
Many neonatal units work with limited or aging equipment and inconsistent access to essential supplies.
Our approach
We start from hospital assessments, sourcing appropriate equipment that teams can use and maintain.
Activities
  • Needs assessments with neonatal units
  • Sourcing incubators, monitors and consumables
  • Maintenance planning with hospital staff
How to participate
Equipment suppliers and funders can contribute items or fund specific needs.

Clinical Training & Capacity Building

The challenge
Equipment is only as effective as the skilled teams using it.
Our approach
We support practical, hands-on learning in collaboration with Senegalese clinicians and educators.
Activities
  • Neonatal resuscitation practice
  • Skills workshops with partner educators
  • Ongoing mentorship
How to participate
Clinical educators and institutions can contribute curricula, time and expertise.

Family Support

The challenge
NICU parents are often left out of their baby's care. Limited space for families, too few breast pumps and the cost of transport make it harder for them to be present, informed and involved.
Our approach
We help neonatal units make room for parents as partners in care, from practical support to be at the bedside to resources that keep them informed and involved.
Activities
  • Family-centered care practices
  • Parent information resources
  • Practical support to be present (kangaroo care supplies, breast pumps, transport to follow-up)
How to participate
Community groups, health workers and partners can help shape and deliver support for NICU families.
